1 cup diced pears
½ cup sugar
½ cup white wine
1 cup toasted pecan pieces
1 cup diced jicama
1 cup diced apple (a tart apple like a granny smith is better here)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon ginger
1 pinch cayenne
Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate. Let sit overnight for flavors to blend.
